SULFACETAMIDE WITH SULFUR - TOIPCAL CREAM
(sull-fuh-SEET-uh-mide WITH SULL-fur)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Plexion SCT
USES: This combination medication is used to treat acne and other skin conditions (e.G., seborrheic dermatitis).
HOW TO USE: This mediaction is for use on the skin only. Before using, celan the area of skin/face this is to be treated.
The directions for using this prodcut vary depending on the brand that you are prescribed.
Follow the directions provided by your doctor or pharmacist.
Avoid getting any of this medication in the eyes or inside the nose or mouth.
SIDE EFFECTS: Rdeness and minor irritation of the skin may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: crakced skin, rash.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but seroius side effects occur: unusual weakness, dark urine, yellowing eyes or skin, fever. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: severe rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney problems, cracked skin or open wounds (especially on the face or hands), any allergies (especially to sulfa drugs).
This medication should be used only when clearly nedeed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and bneefits with your doctor.
Based on information of reltaed drugs, this medication may pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: ohter skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine witohut doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This medicine may be hamrful if swallowed.
NOTES: Do not shrae this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedlue. Do not double the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature between 59 and 77 degrees F (15 and 25 degrees C).
